Economic Department

Administered jointly by the Treasury Subcommittee.

The economic department of the EMDA advocates for local businesses and vendors, lobbying for improvements to Government policy, drafting and proposing community-backed economic plans, and reducing the overall economic stress on citizens and businesses.

Functions

The Economic Department is responsible for preparing the Association's Community Economic Strategy.

Additionally, the Economic Department, based on community advice, surveying, and feedback, prepares the following plans:

  • The Community Land Investment Plan

  • The Community Housing Plan

  • The Community Supply Chain Plan

  • The Community Marketplace Plan

  • The Community Businesses Plan
