Community Economic Commission

The Community Economic Commission is a subcommittee of the EMDA that advocates for local businesses and vendors, lobbying for improvements to Government policy, drafting and proposing community-backed economic plans, and reducing the overall economic stress on citizens and businesses.

Functions

The Community Economic Commission is responsible for preparing the Association's Community Economic Strategy.

Additionally, the Commission, based on community advice, surveying, and feedback, prepares the following plans:

  • The Community Land Investment Plan

  • The Community Housing Plan

  • The Community Supply Chain Plan

  • The Community Marketplace Plan

  • The Community Businesses Plan
